Bright & Early

Monday, August 22nd, 2011

Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend! I got a much needed rest and I feel pretty good about the upcoming week.  I’m ready to hit the books! Now that I’m about to concentrate my majority of time into studying, I worry a lot about distractions and since I also blog on the side, I need to plan my time accordingly. I find this article on better attention and focus online tools really helpful. I tend to have a schedule for everyday and stick to it no matter what. On weekdays, my day is divided into three parts: My day job (working from 8:30AM to 4:00PM), coming home, spending time with family, eating dinner, shower (4:30 to 7:00PM), studying, working out, blogging, doing errands, planning for the next day (7:30 to 12 or 1:00AM). Back to school

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

The first day of going back to school is always nerve-wrecking but exciting. When I was in college, I was a total fashion victim…I didn’t know what my style was and I was experimenting and figuring out what kind of clothes I want to wear. Then I started reading a lot of fashion magazines and slowly, I began to develop a passion for personal style. Now that I’m going back to school in less than a week, I feel inspired to collect items that I want to keep in my closet and in my room! When I was young, I thought that people who wear glasses are really smart. So I got a pair of fake glasses and wear them all the time so that people think I’m smart too!Back to school style inspirations! I wish I have enough space in my room for that couch! 1. Wish you were in my closet

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

I have a completely fashion-unrelated question. Do you guys make eye contact with people when you’re walking? Or do you just listen to your music and zone out? I never make eye contact with anyone because I’m usually thinking about something and I like to walk really fast. Also, I hate it when people, especially guys, who just stare at you up and down while they’re walking towards you. To me, it’s just so rude. I mean, I check out people as well but I do it discreetly and not in their face.

Here are some of the lovely things I wish were in my closet right now!

Gucci’s designer Frida Giannini is 38 years old and never married and I remembered reading an interview where she told her married friends to slow down and enjoy life. Read more about her interview here! I really think women like her should be highlighted more in the media where they are happy being single and successful on their own. They’re so inspiring to me!

The best of Copenhagen Fashion Week

Tuesday, August 9th, 2011

I’ve been looking at the images from Copenhagen Fashion Week and there were so many stunning collections that it was hard to choose my favorites. But here are the best 3 collections in my opinion.I just adore this collection from Wackerhaus! Breezy pants, great proportions and chic tailoring. This collection from Munthe plus SImonsen brings Isabel Marant to mind but it’s strong enough to stand out on its own. Look at those boots! This collection from Anna Sophia Madsen is one of the most innovative shows I’ve seen. I love the unexpected cuts and prints. Plus those ballet shoes are spectacular!
And some of my other favorite looks…From Left to right: Guldknappen, Terminal 2 Press Shows, Stine Goya, Avia of Scandinavia

What about you? Which collection do you like best? xoxoxoxoxoo
