I actually tried to take some outfit photos with my new camera today but they didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to be. I found out that I need to buy some good lens (especially for portrait photos that’s in the same level as jakeandjill or the satorialist) but I’m going to buy them anyway so that I can take quality photos.
Here are some of my favorites from fashion week plus the one dress I can’t wait to buy from Topshop.
Dark, polished eyebrows from Alexander Wang! I’ve always preferred thick eyebrows for myself because I feel like they make the whole face stands out!

Dear Shin,
congratulations on your new camera but I got to tell you one thing.
You definitely need a new lens when you do not have any lens!
No lens can be crappy enough to not let you take a nice photo.
I use SLRs and lenses for the last 15 years and I only recently managed to buy some expensive lens.
Never forget that 1st is the subject, 2nd is the framing/composition and 3rd all technical details and presentation.
There are popular photographers/artists who do it the other way around (because it’s easier) but they never last 🙂
After all, photoshop can give you the enhance and sharpness to your photos.
So, do your best. Keep taking and checking what went wrong. You are the camera and your eyes are the lens!!!!!!
By the way, I loooooooved this season’s Marc Jacobs collection, and this dress is a killer!

Ooo Michael Andrew Saiger makes jewelry?! Who would have known, he’s hott!! I can’t wait for Outfit of the Day photos, that’s great. I need to get better lenses for my camera too. The lace camel shoes in the last photo paired with the red dress reminded me of a much loved outfit I wore last summer: above the knee red linen dress with strappy camel sandals. Couldn’t I just skip spring? 😉

That fashion week accessibility is amazing. How did we survive before internet?? Although I’m definitely making it a goal to go in September I’m still astounded and the wonderful coverage this season!

The Marc Jacobs show was…not the best, I thought. He started off well, ended well (even though that last look I didn’t quite like), but there were some odd looks. Maybe it was the very strict cut of all the pieces, but something about it didn’t work for me. And Saiger is indeed some nice eye candy! Loving the sister’s style! So nice!

I took some outfit photos on Sunday but they didn’t turn out well at all & so I scrapped them. I think I need to take a few classes to figure out the features on my camera it’s really been luck of the draw some days beautiful pics & other days let’s just say not blog worthy 😉 Let us know how you get on x

I like the TopShop dress, very pretty. The Alexander Wang makeup is amazing. I don’t think I would have noticed their eyebrows if you hadn’t had pointed them out but they look awesome.
I would like to get a new lens for my camera, but guess what…. if you gave any of those pro photographers your camera they would still be able to take a stunning photo! I think a lot of it comes down to good composition and lighting… and the right settings. 🙂
