Sometimes when I look at my closet, I noticed that I’m starting at a bunch of clothes that I don’t want to wear. I realized that most of my clothes fall into two categories: a) They’re recently bought, therefore, I don’t want to wear them out unless it’s for blogging or for special occasion b) I need to buy new clothes….I need to buy new clothes…..
The must-have items in your closet should be three tshirts (gray, black, and white) short sleeve, longsleeve and sleeveless in all those colors would save you a lot head-scratching as to what to wear in a hurry! And black dress (maxi and mini), white shirts (2 minimum) one for casual and one for fancy events. But you can never have enough white shirts, yes? Then a pair of comfortable but chic pair of dark or black jeans or leggings that look like jeans. Or tailored smart pants. And a bodycon skirt in any color. Black or white jacket. Add a pair of classic pumps and voila! You’re all set and you never have to wonder what to wear in the morning! Sounds simple enough but I always buy something else of course.
I was having a cold while I was taking these pictures and it’s a miracle they turned out alright. Can’t wait for the weekend because I need to do some shopping! xxoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoo

i suffer from 'the-i-have-nothing-to-wear' problem, but the truth is that there a couple of my favorite clothing pieces that i almost live in, especially during summer i constantly wear maxi dress…. though, you look absolutely fabulous in the presented outfit! i am in love with the topshop skirt… <3

This post actually made me make list of what I need to buy for fall! I always buy shiny pretty things that's hard to pull off, or need a certain other piece of clothing to look good. A good example is that I bought a GREEN leather jacket to or three years ago, and I only bought a black one last winter, haha.
I have too many clothes that I hang onto because they're brand new but I don't even like them that much anymore or they dont fit anymore.
Need to start sorting!

funny you should mention it, cause i get that feeling a lot too when i look into my closet. i have lots of clothes i like but never wear because they're too "special" to me, and so i'm saving them. strange!

I love added a bit of edge to feminine skirts like this! I look at my closet and think the same. I've been overhauling my wardrobe lately and selling all my older clothes from a couple years ago on my facebook! It's been pretty successful so far, except for the fact that I have to sell 4 items just to buy 1 new fabulous item, oh well! Better than nothing.

Beautiful stuff and such sensible advice which of course I cannot follow either!! Funnily enough I have never been into white shirts, the collars just don't do anything for me and we had to wear them at school.
I just heard a cold remedy from my dad who grew up in Malaysia – boil COCKROACHES with some shallots and drink it. The shock of hearing that probably has cured your cold!!!

i agree with you on so many things. i think the perfect closet is based in good quality, timeless, classic pieces, that you can update with accessories and other pieces that are current at a certain time.
