I went to the Hawaii State Art Museum this afternoon and wondered around.
The three little pigs and Not so big, Not so bad wolf! Isn’t that hilarious?
One of my favorite paintings in the room. If he were alive, he would make a very good model.
Another wonderful painting. I love the big, bold flower on her head and the way she’s smoking as if she’s doesn’t have a care in the world.
She looks so pretty and graceful but is she happy?
This is a sculpture of a shoe family: a shoe mother, a shoe father and two little shoe kids. So cute!

I’ve always had a fascination with all things pig. LOL I think they’re the cutest animal (especially the baby pot bellied kind!) and those porcelain figures up above are just too darn cute!

Very interesting pieces. That ballerina girl doesn’t look so happy…but then I think ballerinas inherently carry a sadness within themselves from leading such focused and singular lives…

what a great place to visit! we do have a few galleries here, but not really huge museums, and i’m still holding my breath for that one. by the way, you look so great in the previous post! i am totally inspired to grow my hair long now after seeing yours. so lovely!
