Not Too High Not Too Low

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

When it comes to shoes, I’m quite picky and I need to be able to walk in them comfortably. As much as I love high heels and admire ladies who can stay in them all day, I want my shoes to have a certain height and that is not too high, not too low. Ideally, it would be about 4.5 inches for me. Here are some of the shoes I love from Spring 2011.

And shoes on my shopping list.

Guess GW Bravado Wedge Sandals $161.37Chie Mihara Shoes $355.00 (Shopbop)Sigerson Morrison Shoes $297.50 (Shopbop)

Loeffler Randall Mabel Strappy Platform $486.00 (Couturecandy.com)

Platform sandals $580.00 (Thecorner.com)β€œI definitely think it’s a beautiful gesture to dress up for something or someone; it is a gesture of love.” -Jan Taminiau

What about you? Do you have a limit when it comes to shoes height?

Have a bright Tuesday! xoxoxoxxooxo

I never wear super high heels, maybe if they have a platform and they are comfortable but it’s rare…
I’m always moving and walking too fast and I don’t like to be stopped by some high heels πŸ™‚

Love the gold shoes from Anna Sui x

  3. Momojae says:

I wear ballet flats most of the time. And the HIGHEST of all pumps I have was only a 2 and 1/2 inch heel~ Anything higher than that, I don’t know how to walk :p (I have back problem… sigh…)

I have flu!!! In a sunshine day!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

  7. Wow these shoes are all so beautiful!! I especially love the gold pair on the top left and the brown pair in the middle! Living in Rome it’s definitely important to have a comfortable heel…which I’m discovering lately with some of the heel boots I’ve purchased that it is possible to have a high heel and still be comfortable! But as you say, it’s often not ridiculously high. Happy Tuesday inspiring lady!!! ♥

Well, I must say I love really high heels >12cm but I’m not the one to wear them πŸ™‚
From my experience as I grew up next to fashion loving women (mum, sister and friends – also close friends πŸ˜‰ they all say that comfort is not about the height but about the quality of the shoes. 15cm YSLs are way more comfortable and easy to walk than 5cm of Camper (yack, ugly things)
I like your taste though and wish you get them all!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I was able to wear heels all the time in my job! I’m walking around far too much, wedges aren’t bad but I usually go for comfort and wear ballet flats around the office.

i love the christopher kane sandals!

and when it comes to heel height, well clearly i have a high heel addiction πŸ™‚

  35. shikha says:

i love heels! But, yes they can get so tiring sometimes, love um for partying though. I’m a major major shoe addict. I have bought so many waaay to high ones that i hardly wear just cause they were so pretty! :P. love the Chie Mihara ones!

  36. S. says:

I love the quote of Jan Taminiau!

  37. All through high school I used to wear the highest heels I could find and wore them every day. Now being in college/work basically I now have more responsibility so I’m more exhausted. So I usually gravitate towards flats or wedges unless I’m going out. It’s kind of sad because my heels are soo pretty. Anyways, love the Guess and Chie Mihara wedges!

  38. I prefer wear wedges than heels, they’re so comfy!
Love you selection, the anna sui ones are my favourites πŸ™‚

  39. I totally agree…I love how super high heels look, but I can’t do much than four inches if I’m going to be walking around in them all day. The only thing that gets me into super high ones is if they’re wedges! Love the selection you picked as usual love πŸ™‚

  40. I would buy every single one of the wedges you featured- I love them! I’m the exact same way- I love high-heeled shoes because they always look chic, but I have to be able to walk in them or else an awkward walk definitely “undoes” the chicness πŸ˜›

Dear Shin, I can understand this quest for “Fetish coziness”, AND must say that in this perspective these “Anna Sui” fineries sound like THE perfect (and so delicately sublimating) composition . . .

  47. Stylista says:

Not too high, not too low…that’s perfect! I love that height too, and it’s the perfect height for a slight wedge. I always want my shoes to make a clackity-clack when I walk. lol. It just makes me walk with more confidence.

  48. I am in LOVE with those Chloe shoes, oh someday πŸ˜‰

  49. Deppa says:

Oh no! I don’t have limits, BUT! I never wear high heels for personal reasons, like live so far from the university and specially because I must be always “ready” to run when some things turns dangerous (lol)
But I must admit that my feet were born to were super high heels and I really love them, and I don’t feel pain, actually it feels comfortable πŸ™‚ (yeah Im weird)
Hey! about your comment in my previuos post, I could share with you my lemonpier recipe, cause you know.. is a little bit hard cook one for you πŸ˜‰

    See you!

  50. cecylia says:

I would love to have those red SM shoes too πŸ™‚ Thanks for the selection

  51. height doesnt really matter as long as it’s comfy for me πŸ™‚
strappy platforms are easier to wear because the straps keep your feet in place and the thick heels give support nicely πŸ™‚

  52. Jelena says:

there is absolutely no limit with me when it comes to the height of the heels,i am open to all options….sometimes i feel like a skyscraper!:Dlol i like C.Kane’s sandals, perfect for the summer…and your choices are wonderful!!;)
