I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend! Last Friday, I was pretty tired so I thought I would take the weekend off from updating my blog but instead I stayed up all night looking for ideas, inspirations and working on my next post and I feel like I can’t relax at all. Do you guys feel anxious about not updating your blog? Do you think that having a blog can feel like a 24 hour job sometimes? I would love to know your thoughts?

Tommy on Anna: She’s someone who loves fashion, and if you’re someone who adores her and loves fashion, she’s more than willing to stop and take a photo, or just talk to you. Last season in London there was this six-foot tranny with a blow-up wig or something. I said to her, go up and talk to the tranny. She said, “OK—why not?” That’s her favorite line. “Why not?”
Anna on Tommy: “He has incredible eyes for details. That’s a talent as a fashion photographer. To emphasize what you see. The crop has to be perfect. I like him because I always say you are like a shark. When you see people dressing, when you see fashion, it is like food for you. You are like a shark that is like chomp chomp chomp, eating food. I call him passive-aggressive, because he looks really…sweet, but he has this incredible aggressivity”.

Yes, I feel like my blog is a 24 hour job. My brain is always thinking of post ideas and every time I go into my bedroom I end up playing in my closet and making a huge mess finding new outfit ideas! I’ve also been distraught because it has been raining here every single day all day long… I take my photos with a tripod and remote and have no clue where I could do this inside (I hate the lighting in my apartment for photos). It’s so worth it tho, I have fun dressing up and making blogger friends and posting my outfits and being inspired by other peoples’ posts, etc… And I’d rather be thinking about this than my real job haha.
This post is great (as usual)! I want to belt everything too… it’s amazing what one little belt can do for a look!! I’ve been hunting for new ones without much luck. Also love the Club Monaco looks and the black crochet dress, great pics. <3shelby

Love those black dresses! And sometimes I do get anxious about the frequency of my posts, but honestly I’d rather do fewer that are more detailed, so that’s what I’ve been doing. I definitely have tons of unfinished posts sitting in my drafts folder though, so I find it tricky to decide which ones to finish and when, blah blah blah. But I love it!

Since 2005, when belts came back, they became thinner and since 2010 the trend of lots of turns is invading women closets. Hands up who love it..

I completely agree! Blogging is like a 24/7 job, and sometimes you either don’t have time to update or you don’t feel up to updating it…but in the end, having a blog is such a special thing, and connecting with other people on the same level (of food, fashion, and so on) is the most amazing thing!

i’m new in blogging and make a post for fun, my favorite spring/summer is from Burberry, the biker jacket is rock, i talked about it in my last post, and all 3 black lace dress are perfect… ^^
I update my blog once a week on average – this allows time for the other important things in my life such as work, travel and so forth. I never feel pressured to update – I adore the fanciable fancies in this post. The first set of images I love;-)
I love the first six looks!! So pretty! The look you put together with the green belt is wonderful. I love how sleek it looks. On the blog, I always do that to. I usually should be doing homework but I always find myself in blog mode. My boyfriend thinks I’m crazy and wishes I would lay off, which I’ve had to a bit but only because of demanding school work. I don’t know I just love blogging it’s fun.
As for Russell Brand in Arthur. I feel like he will be similar to the characters in Get Him to the Greek and Forgetting Sarah Marshall so you may not like Arthur unless you’re going for Helen Mirren. She was wonderful! : ) And you’re right Russell Brands voice alone evokes comedy. haha.
I love your posts, I already told you that! Very inspirational! Yes, sometimes blogging may seem like a 24h job, but it s a wonderful job and it s impossible not to love it!

I hope you had an amazing easter w/e!!! I just love your style so much!! As far as getting stressed about updating my blog – I totally don’t. I love taking days off, haha! It’s hard to get back in to it when I come back. But, eventually you realize that the world won’t stop if you don’t update and your readers will all still be there a couple days later. Just relax and take a break 🙂

i agree with you.. its hard sometimes. i feel if you arent updating or staying in the loop people will stop visiting your blog.. its tough work especially when doing outfit posts. but its fun and very inspiring to look at others blogs. gives me great ideas for new outfits and fashion tips!!

Yes, i sometimes do feel that tension of havin to update my blog consistently BUT…i’ve learned to let loose nowadays cuz it’s stressing at times to do it 24/7. Dont get me wrong, i love bloggin about fashion but it can be sooo time consuming and i cant afford to lose my beauty sleep or else i’d be a walkin zombie to work! hahaha….Although I’ve learned to blog in a diff way after u gave some tips in ur previous post about how u organize ur posts and etc. Sometimes i’ll just research and think of what to write or save images in advance and boy does it save me a lot of time!!! But as u can see, i did slack a bit this Easter with my blog posts,lol
And oh yeah, put a belt on it girl! i loveeeeeeeeeee belts, it does magic wonders and can transform an outfit instantly!!! i love thick or thin belts and love it with details or just a simple design. in other words, me heart belts:D

Oh yes, I know what you mean about feeling anxious about not up-dating your blog. I haven’t posted anything for three days and it feels so weird. I can’t wait to go back on my 6 days a week routine. Speaking of belts, I’ve had a period when I used to wear a belt over everything: dress, blazer, coat, sweater. It’s still one of my favourite accessories, but not to that extent. I really do my best to blog every day. I usually take one day off on the weekends just to take a break from things, but I consider my blogging to be my second (or third?) job. I am very devoted to it and probably spend more time than I should on it.

I love my blog, but sometimes it feels more of an obligation than for fun. With all the pressure of this last semester, I’ve forced myself to create a distance between myself and the blog, although I didn’t avoid the blog/blogosphere altogether. Now I’ve been done exams for 5 days and miraculously avoided the Internet/and my laptop for the last 2! Although, I have been sick.. haha. But already I feel as though I have been away too long and I shouldn’t really be taking this additional time away from the blog 🙁 When can a woman truly let herself relax in this century?!?!

i do feel stressed, but i know i shouldn’t. it’s just a blog. nobody else can tell you what you should or should not do. if you don’t feel like updating, don’t. i think that’s when you just get tired of everything and when people stop updating completely.
i remember how i used to update each day or multiple times a day in the beginning of my blog.. but not longer. now i update when i have something to write or so.. if that is once a week, or each day or every second day, it depends on what i have time for or what i feel like.

In the beginning I used to get anxious till I decided it’s only a hobby and doesn’t pay the bills. My job comes first! The wide green belt with the black suit is my kind of style.

I totally agree with you too, on blogging being a 24 hour job. I think it’s because our blogs are merely an aspect of who we are. We put our lives into them, making them so important to us. And when we have followers, we don’t want to disappoint people by not updating…sigh. Sometimes it can get overwhelming, but a lot of the time it is just fun. I love coming up with random blog ideas throughout the day. I get this itch to go write a new post whenever I am inspired! 😉

I think my blog is an hobby and I have to do care about it because I write in internet, everyone can read me, so I want to write better as possible. But yes, sometime my blog is like a work. I have to think about my inspirations, the things I want to talk.. Sometime I’d like to have an assistant who helps me to find what I want, do you understand?
I feel anxious when I don’t find what I want, when there is someone who write something of ungentle against me, when I don’t know what write…
In these moment I stop myself for one or two days for thinking and then I start to write again 🙂
