1. I think that models are fascinating creatures. They’re tall, thin and beautiful. They hold impossible beauty standards. They stand out from the crowd and they make more money than us. But nobody has any idea how difficult or competitive their job is.
2. Models are very confident people and their ability to walk in front of hundreds, and sometimes thounsands of people, who are looking at them head to toe and judging them is amazing.
3. Most people see very beautiful photos in the magazines but they often dismiss the hard work and creativity that goes behind a photo. Models are very hard workers who interpret a photographer’s vision and make the clothes come alive.
4. Models work very long hours and they have to go through numerous auditions or in model’s terms “go-sees” in order to get a job. In order to be a successful, a model needs a great personality, charm, and a lot of luck because their visibility depends so much on whether they have something that makes them different from other models.
5. Models are really cool people to hang out with despite what the media says. They’re funny, friendly and smart!
6. Models have great personal style and you can get a lot of inspiration from them.
7. Models made you want to take care of yourself. If I see someone who is beautiful and happy, they inspire me to take care of myself better and look better. If I look better, I’m more confident!
8. Models make insecure people uncomfortable and it always sparks an interesting debate about people’s looks and weights.
9. Models like Natalia Vodianova, Coco Rocha, Hilary Rhoda, Karlie Kloss and Anja Rubik have such unforgettable faces. They make the photos alluring and inspiring.
10. Modeling industry is such an exciting place to watch because there are always new faces and it’s very fast-paced. There are always new faces to be discovered like Beautiful Barbara Palvin and Lindsey Wixson.
What about you? What do you think of models? Hope you’re having a fab week my loves! xxoxoxoxoxooxxooxoxxooxxoxo
I do love models, their attitude when they show any collection on the runway is just magical.
They transform everything around you looking amazing.
My fave at the moment without a doubt is Abbey Lee.

i LOVE the third picture, where’s it from? I find models intreguing, in the way that they can transform themselves, from people into these silently captivating creatures, finding the best angles and shapes to use their body to bring clothes to life….and obviously the lush clothes they get to wear are a bonus!

I totally agree, I’m inspired by the beauty and style to take better care of myself. Esp Miranda kerr cos she’s so into organics and healthy living. I’m doing a little runway show for a friend soon, will be pretty scary, I even had to go to catwalk school hehe! I’ve been practising my walk 😛
Models are made to inspire us =) But its all back to ourselves again, its good to enhance ur beauty more, without too much ‘forces’ for your body =D barbiejunk
I agree with every single point!!
People think modelling is easy…that all you have to do is stand in front of camera and look pretty.
It’s much more than that!
I’m as tall as an average model, but the truth is that I’ll never be one of these fabulous girls, which probably makes me a bit jealous, even though their job is hard as hell… 😀
Thanks for sharing!
Many people thing that they´re silly, but it´s not true. Models are really hard-working and amazing persons, whose style is really inspiring! I really love this post, it´s amazing! I love your blog.

I would have loved being a model, but I was too short. I admire girls who do model since it is a super competitive of a world. And the time to shine very short.
I love and adore everything about models, sort of obsessed with their impeccable beauty.
You pretty much said it all though, and believe it or not, but I do agree with all of it, like taking the words out of my mouth.
Models are everything I want to be; fun, stunning, super skinny, super tall, confidental ect.
My week, however, been such a mess. So much to be done, only no time.
Anyways, loved this post!
Love your blog, and really hope you’ll post some outfits of yourdelf soon (=

I totally agree. They always keep up coming back for more and intruguing us with just a look. the way they wear clothes is so inspiring. Love this post!
I love models for all these reasons. I think it’s a very competitive world and it takes a certain grit to make it here. To dismiss them only as good looking people is plain unfair.
So true! I think models are far more than just girls who show clothes and other products; models actually are people as well with different styles, opinions etc.
x
I think it depends on the type of model. Catalogue models don’t get as much glamour and I think most models look relatively average without the make-up (I see them all the time in Paris). But those who’ve made it to the top as runway/editorial models definitely have a talent and business savvy and work very hard. I must say though, many of them are way too (unhealthily) thin! They’re much thinner in person than they look in pictures, so I have to disagree about wanting to look or eat like them.
Growing up I was obsessed with models, I loved all the “supers” like Naomi and Cindy and Kate. I kinda wish magazines would go back to elevating the model instead of the celebrities on the covers. Don’t you think? xo
oh yeah ..you are right about every reason why to love models… and I don’t know why some people… say all the time they have not healthy bodies… when I see them PERFECT!
greetings from Peru 🙂
Great insight into the world of models! You offer a very positive perspective!
Ps: we are creating a blog on Thankfulness please consider following it! We’ll follow back! http://thethankfullist.tumblr.com/
models are very interesting people. nowadays they need to have a individual personality and style, where i get so much inspiration from. but i do think they can be a bit more ‘fleshy’ or ’rounder’ because sometimes they are just to skinny that it’s a bit ugly and just not healty. i prefer to see someone like crystal renn, lara stone or lindsay wixon over anja rubik. they are gorgeous but a bit rounder. but well, that’s my opinion and a discussion we can go on for years and years ;).
and to come back on my post. the other time they pulled my wisdom teeth it all went so well! i could eat anything within one day and i had less pain then now. but this time they drilled, so that’s the reason for the blue cheek and the pain and everything. but you don’t have to be scared, because it does a bit pain but after it you don’t have to worry about it your whole life!
I agree with everything that Haut World said. I never inspire to be like anyone else. I was brought up to be the best and better of myself. I don’t glorify models or anyone for that matter, but these images are so lovely to look at this morning. Have a sweet day. xx
i met coco rocha 4 years ago, and she was great! I loved her. But now that I’m going to fashion shows with local models… mmm not a fan of them LOL a lot of they just give you the stink face of “what are you doing here” until you tell them that you’re taking pics for them then all of the sudden they’re nice to you… But I’m sure successful models like Coco Rocha is completely different, because they have to be fun and nice to be that successful! btw nice blog I followed you 🙂
i think modelling is one of the toughest jobs out there, because there’s so much pressure in an industry where visual presentation & beauty is important. they really have to constantly up their games, so i have lots of respect for professional models for their poise & confidence throughout all this!
I definitely agree! Models are fascinating creatures and have a tough, but ultimately glamourous, job. If only I wasn’t barely 5 feet tall, maybe I would’ve become one… 🙂
I think part of this is true. Models do hold alot of inspiration for us. And they definitely represent a certain standard that oddly we all strive to acheive. However I believe that your reasoning that all Models are confident is incorrect and unecessary. How are you to now that? Just because someone looks stunning and beautiful and content in your eyes, does not mean they are not battling inner issues just like every other average Joe. Don’t be so quick to judge a person by their initial image…if you do, you are viewing the world in a narrow minded manner.
I do love models, their attitude when they show any collection on the runway is just magical.

Lovely post, I especially love seeing “model off duty” style photos, because even out of a photo shoot, and unstyled, these girls look amazing!
