Work with me

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

Midweek….eeek…usually, I’m pretty busy with work, multiple projects I’m working on, replying to a bunch of emails, updating my calendar, doing my homework, figuring out which item I can splurge on without sacrificing food..haha. So having a organized and neat office space is essential for me. I also have dreams about working for the companies below because their office interior makes me feel so happy! I wish I could work there!

Can you believe those are actual employees working on the mossy playground? The offices are Red Bull, Sydney, Australia. Aren’t these egg-shaped meeting rooms fun? They’re from Google Engineering Headquarters in Zurich. Did you know that they have playground style-slide entrances to their cafeteria?! Ah, Google! The ultimate dream to work for.

The red thing you see in the middle? It’s the hot tub. For staff meetings. Yeah, that must be the most awesome meetings ever because according to an employee “there’s always someone in a towel”. Grip Limited Offices in Toronto, Canada.

My inspiration for work desks…

Unclutterd, simple and welcoming desk for work.

Do you think this is just a bunch of briefcases piling on top of one another? It’s actually a desk and the “briefcases” are drawers. Clever, don’t you think?

And if you want to see what Burberry Designer Christopher Bailey, Oprah, and Martha Stewart’s desks look like, you can check them out here!

What does your office looks like? Wishing you a beautiful and productive day! xoxoxoxoxoxxoo

I wouldn’t feel too comfortable in those egg-shaped meeting rooms. The briefcase desk I love. My work space has to be airy, bright and with everything put in order, this way I find my inspiration very easily.

  9. I love this idea and I took those surroundings as inspiration for my diploma thesis in 2004. My fashion collection called Form follows Fun! (and not anymore form follows function)

Compared to these, my office is incredibly dull! I work in a pod, so there are four cubicles with open space in the middle… nothing exciting or innovative. Google sounds like a dream and that briefcase desk is gorgeous!

My office (or working space) looks NOTHING like this, and I wish it did. Because this is seriously awesome. I really do need to clean my desk.

  19. S.Elisabeth says:

Oh my gosh I think I’d enjoy going to work every day if I could sit in at one of those areas!! My desk at school, and I chalk this up to being a writer, is a bit of a mess. There’s a lot of paper and a lot of books and a lot of nick nacks that I probably don’t need…!

  20. Biaa says:

WOWOWOWOW!!! I love that first photo! How cool is that?! Tooooo cool 🙂
I’m really hyped about re-organizing my room and re-decorating. but it’s a big project cause I’m in such limited space with big/heavy furniture and I’ve got thick carpeting as well. So it’s gonna take some time and thinking haha

  21. dahl says:

A moss playground??? Egg shaped cubicles?? Wow I need to work there when I grow up! And the briefcase drawer desk is fantastic. These innovative work spaces are so unusual and creative, it must make working there incredibly fun. I don’t really have an office but I tend to do my homework at a table or stretched out on a couch. When I get my own office though I’ll definitely want one like this!!

  22. Joana says:

    Hello!
    OMG!!
I wouldn’t mind working/studying in a place like this in the future.
They are awesome. Especially the first two.
    Very inspiring this post!
    🙂

    xoxo|Joana

  23. Kristin says:

  26. So I got to tour the Google in Zurich earlier this year!! Seriously a highlight of my year because I am a dork. I even went down that slide! And the firepoles to the other floors…it was the craziest coolest office I have ever ever been to. They even have an alcohol/drinking room. And so much more. I do need a cool office too!!

  27. iben says:

Oh love this post! I wish I could work somewhere like the grassy field:) Love your diversity sweetie! have a nice day!

    Love Iben

  28. Suzanne says:

The hot tub looks cool but it must be kind of awkward when you’re in mixed company or you fancy someone. I do love the cafeteria slide!! Very cool!

  29. woblinbetty says:

oh wow so many cool places!!!
It’s true, working in a nice place is definitely so much inspiring!

my office in Milan is very white and very minimal, I would say MM Margiela style 🙂
I’m very lucky because my boss has really wonderful taste!

  30. Taj says:

Super creative! I love it! xo

  31. Clare says:

Very cuuute work spaces! I am always hesitant to get excited over cool office spaces. Esp now that I live in NYC. I have learned that the cooler the office space, the longer they expect you be there. So I will trade a dingier office for more normal hours hahahaha

  32. Lee Oliveira says:

Working in a beautiful space like this is 100% to you will never run out of inspirations.
I would love to work in an environmental place like that
    Lee x

  33. Autilia says:

wow these office spaces are incredible ! makes me want to revamp my working space

  34. Momojae says:

I would LOVE if my work space is similar to the Red Bull Sydney’s office!! I have a sore lower back for sitting at my desk for too long… If I could lie on that “grassy knoll” sofa, THAT would be sooo good~~

  35. Meg says:

These make me depressed about my office. Which I’m losing and getting stuck in a corner of a cubicle. I want to work for Google.

  36. Mishi says:

That is pretty amazing… but I don’t think google in US is as “cool” as the ones overseas… but I wish I could work for google too X_X

  37. Emma says:

Love these work spaces – I recently moved office & have less space than before – a major re-organization is needed! Think ill have to have a word with the boss…I mean if I had a slide into our lunch room I would be much more productive..don’t you think 🙂

  38. Such awesome spaces to work!

  39. very cool post! I love all these inspirations! Some places become really creative and that’s part of the culture of the brand. I especially loved Christopher Bailey’s office space 🙂
