Monday, March 14th, 2011
A new week begins and as an impulsive dresser, I tend to pick what I’m going to wear at the last minute. But I usually choose to wear structured shirts tucked in with skinny jeans and layered with a light cardigan or jacket for the deadly cold air-conditioned office or a body con dress with colorful accessories. I like to have at least one thing in my outfit that stands out, whether it’s my makeup, clothes or accessories. Here are some of my working girl inspirations.

My work dress attire is super casual because it’s a surf/skate brand, so I basically get to wear what I want. But I am so loving this inspiration!

No jeans for me at work. I like white shirts and black mini skirts. Spicing it up with a flower brooch. Chic, edgy and classic – all at the same time.

I love the look you created at the end of your post except the pants. I think that those loose and big trousers make girls look fat and strange/ugly, even girls in such a great shape as you 🙂

Great post love! I know it’s tricky when you have to be business appropriate but you still want to somehow be stylish. I think like you said, the trick is just throwing in an accessory or single piece that has a lot of colour or character. I love Olivia’s look, she always looks beyond amazing!

Today was my day off, no working outfit for me today!
Usually i spend my day off to go to the gym, prepare dinner for my boyfriend and hang with some friend.so usually a wear some comfy pants with heels(not to high,it’s monday and i’m lazy!) and cardigans.

love the Olivia Palermo look…um work look, i like fun skirts with cardigans/blazers and i always do it up with fun accessories that stand out and add a twist to my outfit…and um love boots, boots, boots!
gorgeous photos, my work dress code isn’t too strict. i just have to make sure my skirts are knee length at least, no spaghetti straps, no rubber flip flops.. haha, that’s about it so i can get away with a lot 😉

I’m the definition of a last minute dresser, usually it works out for me, but sometimes it leaves me in a getting dressed meltdown where I cannot figure out what to wear. But even if I do manage to pick out an outfit the night before – I rarely end up wearing it, so it seems a little useless. Also – those blue shoes are to die for. I’m trying to wear more heels recently (despite SF’s killer hills) I’d love to get my hands on those.

ohhh, olivia. she has the best clothes! i work on campus at the university where i go to school, so the dress code is pretty relaxed.
I sometimes feel like jekyll and hyde – out of work I love my clothes & I am very creative – In work I really dont feel any passion – dark clothes with little variation…but as I mentioned on one of your posts last month a work wardrobe make-over is on the cards for me – your picks have given me alot to think about – love olivia’s look & DKNY amazing x

Love the pink colour of the DKNY blazer! Very pretty pink. And I like the colourful clutches. I really want to get my hands on a Celine clutch, but it is sooooooo far out of my budget, that I’m on the hunt for inexpensive alternatives instead 🙂
