I like to make lists and when it comes to relationships, I have a check list of things that I’m looking for in a guy. But they all disappear as soon as I fell in love with that person. After my first relationship ended, I grabbed a notebook and wrote down all the things that I want in a man and I thought it’ll be fun to share some of it with you. 
1) He knows what he wants – A guy who is very sure of himself and knows what he wants in life is very attractive. He doesn’t give up when something doesn’t work out but he moves on quickly and pursues his passion with zest! Can you imagine being with someone who’s always changing his goals and never sticking around with one thing? I learned it the hard way never to be with someone like that again.
2) Good mannered-gentleman – I can’t stand someone who has poor manners and who doesn’t say ‘thank you’ or ‘excuse me’. A guy who is very polite and considerate immediately catches my attention.
3) Intelligent and confident – He needs to be able to communicate with me on all kinds of issues and I want to be with someone who is articulate and well-spoken. 
4) The most attractive feature on a guy for me is……his smile and his arms! I love well-toned arms..haha.
5) He can be serious and he can be silly. He knows how to balance the two.
Plus he’s fun, cool, affectionate, charismatic, and treats his girlfriend the way she deserves to be treated.

I think there is something to be said for old-school charm, a quick wit and definitely chivalry (it’s not dead, trust me!). I also really appreciate someone with a great sense of humour, someone who can laugh at themselves. Cause if you can’t laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at??? You definitely picked some great values (and very hot guys, I might add)!

We have about the same things on our “list” haha …
The most important thing for me is really that he can behave, understanding that he should behave differently with different people. I’m really careful myself with such things and I think it’s disrespectful not to thank or say “exuse me”. I think he should open the door for others and help old ladies to cross the street … You probaly understand what I mean 😀
And he must have a nice ass too … haha
Oh I agree with all the things you’ve listed! I would add that his shoulders should be broad, and I noticed that I find guys with ‘dark features’ (dark brown eyes, dark hair) much more attractive than the ones with blonde hair and blue eyes. But that’s just me 😉 And that video is so much fun! The guy in the red shirt at 0:32 is cute! Plus, it seems as if guys look much more relaxed on the runway than girls… maybe because they don’t have to wear enourmously high heels and less extravagant clothes?

That is a pretty good list for a start – another for me the same core values – you dont want to be carbon copies in matching outfits (shudder) but you do need to have similar values about the things that really matter, like honesty and trust. But most you need to laugh together and yes you do need to fancy him – my man still has really good arms 20 years on!! xx

I used to make lists like that every few years in my diary – its fun to see how they changed with time and each relationship and how they compare to the man I married. You really can have it all!

That is a great list of qualities.
And he has to be model good-looking obviously…come on, he has to be otherwise he’ll feel threatened by all your male model posts! It’s so funny that you did that because while stuck in a previous unhappy relationship, I did the exact same thing…whipped out my diary and wrote down what I really wanted in a guy. After a scary breakup (this guy was nutso) I met my current boyfriend who embodied all the things I’d written down months before. It was pretty crazy, and also really reassuring…that you can ask for certain things and expect nothing less and receive it! You’re such a sweet and romantic person and one day you’re going to find a guy with perfect cheekbones, toned arms, and he’ll hit every one of your listed targets! ohmygosh, I kept a list like this a few years ago. Anytime I found a guy who I thought could be boyfriend material, I would check things off the list.
For me, a guy had to have a sense of humor. A man is nothing without a good sense of humor, in my opinion. Because, let’s face it, I’m a totally insane person who gets her giggles in the weirdest ways possible. Mr. A definitely had this in the bag from the moment I met him. 🙂
